Thank you for booking your party with us!
Here are some things to expect and things you can do to help prepare for your party
•Parking: The equipment we need to set up is quite heavy, so a parking space for our truck and trailer as close as possible to the setup area is greatly appreciated. The best way to do this is to have a spot “blocked off” for us ahead of time so we are able to pull right in to park and begin setting up upon arrival. We would need at least 3 full sized truck lengths of spacing to park; our rig is a little longer than two full sized truck lengths, plus we would need space behind the trailer to unload the animals safely.
•Setup area: The most ideal space for us to set up would be as close as possible to our rig, shaded, at least 20’ by 20’ for the petting zoo (or bigger!), and in the grass. *Our animals cannot be set up on any surface that has been recently treated with any pesticide, chemical, fertilizer, etc.* Please let us know ahead of time if the space available does not include some or any of these amenities so we can be better prepared. In some cases, an additional fee may be charged for the difficulty of setup and cleanup. If you are unsure of the space, pictures of the setup area you had in mind can be texted to 772-643-2813 or emailed to [email protected] for a more accurate quote.
Pig Disclosure: pigs are notorious “rooters”. The act of rooting is a natural behavior for pigs in which they use their strong snout to nudge into the ground, digging through the dirt and grass. Our pig will be contained in one area inside of an enclosure and we do our best to try and keep our pig’s attention off of rooting but it is sometimes difficult to stop them from doing something that they love to do. After your party, we rake the area to smooth out any rooting to the best of our ability.
•Arrival: Depending on which package you have reserved, you can expect us to arrive anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour ahead of your scheduled booking time.
-We understand it can be very exciting for children and adults when our horse trailer arrives. Please give our team members plenty of space and time to be able to set everything up safely. Once we are set up and officially at your party’s start time, everyone is more than welcome to come visit with the animals for as long as the booking time allows.
-If you live in a gated community, please let us know at the time of booking how we are to appropriately enter your neighborhood (GATE CODE, security station, separate commercial vehicle entrance, etc).
•Pets: Please no dogs or other pets around or near our animals. All of the animals included in our farm are considered “prey animals”, so a dog barking or even just being near our animals would cause them to be uncomfortable, stressed, and even fearful.
If your pets use your yard (especially where you would like us to set up) to go potty in regularly, please have the area thoroughly scooped ahead of time.
•Supplies: We come prepared with everything needed including enclosures for all the animals, food, water, canopies, ice, and small tables set up with hand sanitizer.
Things we may need on site:
-Water Spicket. When booking any horse or pony rides, we may ask to use running water on site to cool them down before we leave. We keep a hose in our trailer if needed to connect to the water source.
•Music and Other Entertainment: Every animal included in our petting zoo, including horses, have very sensitive hearing so please refrain from blaring loud music or having speakers set up near the animals. We also prefer not to be set up too close to bounce houses and other inflatables just in case there is a malfunction with the inflatable equipment.
•Pony Rides: When booking any pony rides, it is important to note that the pony is subject to take breaks during your party whenever the handler sees fit (especially for a multiple hour party). Breaks usually range from 5-10 minutes and sometimes may include a quick rinse down on a hot day.
Pony weight limit: 75lbs.
•Payment: The remaining balance of your party is due in *CASH* on the day of the party unless previously discussed otherwise. We do not accept checks or credit cards as a form of final payment. Our team members do accept gratuity if you feel your party was a success and want to tip the animal handlers.
